Celebrate spring in Connecticut by attending the annual Dogwood Festival in Fairfield, featuring beautiful dogwood blooms and local vendors.
Spring in the Nutmeg State is such an amazing time. From the delicate cherry blossoms in New Haven's Wooster Square to our gorgeous tulip farms and daffodils, the colors of spring in Connecticut are vivid and stunning. And what better way to celebrate them than by attending some spring festivals in Connecticut? One festival that's great for celebrating the beauty of the season is the annual Dogwood Festival in Fairfield. This weekend-long event has been delighting the area's flower lovers for decades. The 2024 event is scheduled for the weekend of May 11–12 and it's sure to be a blast for the whole family! Make sure to mark your calendar, because this is one seasonal event you won't want to miss.
Fairfield is a charming town that's considered one of the best places to live in Connecticut. The city has taken on the beautiful dogwood tree as its unofficial symbol.
The town streets are lined with the trees, and you can see them in various parks and churches throughout the city during spring in Connecticut.
This weekend-long Connecticut spring festival is one of Fairfield's biggest events of the year. It's held at the historic Greenfield Hill Congregational Church.
Founded in 1725, this church has been a prominent member of the town for practically forever!
The flowers are certainly the star of the show. The white and pink dogwood blooms are simply stunning and there are so many of them in Fairfield. Checking them out is one of my favorite things to do in Connecticut in the spring.
One of the best festivals in Connecticut, this spring event features an assortment of local merchants selling their wares. You'll find baked goods, artwork, candles, clothes, and more for sale.
I am always looking for ways to shop local and this Connecticut spring festival offers a great way to support local businesses.
The two-day program is jam-packed with events, including concerts, a children's area, walking tours of the church grounds, and more. It's a great way to spend some time outside during spring in Connecticut.
This is one of our favorite (and most floral) spring festivals in Connecticut and you won't want to miss it.
