This Enchanting Balloon Ride In Connecticut Is One Of The Best Ways To Enjoy Autumn
Are you looking for a unique way to enjoy fall in Connecticut? We're always on the hunt for new autumn adventures, and when you feel like you've managed just about all the haunted houses, fall festivals, and leaf-peeping that you can handle, we've got something a little more exotic for you. How much fun does a fall hot air balloon ride in Connecticut sound? That's just what you'll find at Berkshire Balloons in New Hartford, one of the state's longest-running hot air balloon operators. This is such a unique experience at any time of year, but it's even more magical when you can look down and see all the beauty of the Nutmeg State's fall foliage below you!
Berkshire Balloons operates in the Farmington Valley and Litchfield Hills, so you can expect some lovely scenery beneath you! You'll be anywhere from 50 to 100 miles above the ground.
On a clear day, you can sometimes see as many as four states at a time.
Flights in the fall and winter take off at 7:00 a.m., when the wind is generally very calm. Up to four people can ride on a flight, which typically lasts about an hour.
The balloon is followed by a "chase crew" that helps unpack everything once the balloon lands and gets you back to your takeoff site.
This is such an awe-inspiring experience! There's nothing like seeing the changing leaves from this high up.
This is a unique way to enjoy fall that belongs on every adventurer's bucket list.
