This shop was created in 2016 by Jonathan Alberico, who started collecting strange items at a young age. In 2021, the Learned Lemur moved to their current home on historic Colfax Ave.

And from the minute you walk in, you'll be impressed. This shop is adorned with features that will make you stop and stare from large chandeliers to an antique skeletal zebra that dates back to the mid-1800s.

There is 1,100 square feet of oddities for you to explore and admire. You'll find museum-worthy antiques, human and animal skulls, horrifying medical tools, hidden hallways, and so much more.

Plus, the Learned Lemur is your one-stop shop for all things dead and taxidermied, which they do via Dermestid beetles. These beetles can strip the deceased animals of their flesh in a matter of hours.

This Denver oddities shop supports nearly two dozen local artists by offering consignment opportunities. They also host a variety of events from seances to a monthly market, which features dozens of unique local artists and small businesses.

And you can’t forget about the Conspiracy Circus live sideshows. These sold-out shows feature pain-proof performances where you can witness fire eating, sword swallowing, belly dancing, and so much more.
