The train departs from Williams every morning for a two-hour journey.
It chugs through rugged desert and lush pine forest landscapes en route to the South Rim.
In addition to the gorgeous scenery, the ride is entertaining from start to finish.
Musicians play tunes of the Wild West, and attendants share fascinating fun facts about the canyon and surrounding area.
There are six train classes available, ranging from the most affordable Pullman Class to Luxury Parlor cars with a rear platform and private bar.
No matter how you choose to ride, the trip promises to be an unforgettable journey.
You'll arrive at the historic Grand Canyon Depot - one of only three remaining railroad depots built primarily with logs - at about 11:30 a.m.
Passengers have a little more than three hours to explore the canyon before the train departs for Williams at about 3:30 p.m.
What you do with that time is entirely up to you - hike, shop, dine, or simply admire the vast and breathtaking natural wonder from a scenic overlook. The options are endless!
The train arrives back in Williams at about 5:45 p.m.
When you get there, enjoy a hearty dinner at the Fred Harvey Restaurant to round out the day. You can also grab a drink at Spenser's Pub in the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel.
Speaking of the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel, it's a great option for weary travelers who aren't in the mood to drive back home in the evening.
It's right next door to the depot - and just a block away from Historic Route 66! Its Old World opulence and long list of amenities make your experience even more special.
