There’s No Other Museum In America Quite Like This One In Arizona

People tend to either love or hate museums; there seems to be little in-between. If you typically stay away from museums, there’s one awesome spot in Tucson that just might change your mind. The Mini Time Machine features an incredible collection of miniature dollhouses and offers a unique experience that anyone (and everyone) can enjoy. Check it out:

Museums are snapshots of history; places where the past is completely frozen in time. This one in Tucson is no exception, but it’s especially unique because all of the exhibits have been shrunk down to nearly microscopic size.

Over 400 miniature houses are split between three main areas: The Enchanted Realm, History Gallery, and Exploring the World. Each offers a unique adventure, transporting spectators back to different eras and events.

Expect to spend hours marveling at the intricacies. No matter how small each piece might be, not a single detail is missing.

Among the artwork is one of the nation's oldest miniature houses, which was built in 1775 - before the United States was even born. You'll also encounter items from several other countries, including the U.K., Germany, Holland, and Japan.

Visitors often relate the collection to aspects of their own lives. From dishes in the sink to chickens running amok, the striking realism is undeniable.

Rotating temporary exhibits keep the museum interesting time after time. Christmas, Halloween, and several other holidays are represented in miniatures created by some of our country's most talented artists.

An impressive collection of Civil War soldiers tells the captivating story of our country's past. Get lost in history as you read about brave people whose legacies have been all but forgotten over decades.

The Mini Time Machine is located at 4455 E. Camp Lowell Dr., Tucson, AZ 85712. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
