One Of The Most Haunted Bridges In Arizona, London Bridge Has Been Around Since The 1830s

The London Bridge in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, is reputed to be haunted by spirits and has a rich history dating back to the 1830s.

Rich and fascinating history surrounds The London Bridge in Lake Havasu City. And unfortunately, it's not all positive. According to local legend, this unique structure is haunted by spirits. If you happen to cross this one-of-a-kind bridge in Arizona, don't be surprised if you come across some paranormal activity. After all, the original structure dates all the way back to the 1830s!

London Bridge isn't falling down, but it's loaded with creepy energy.

Built in 1831, the London Bridge originally crossed the River Thames in England.

In 1967, construction workers dismantled the bridge and shipped it across the pond to Arizona.

Because the bridge was unable to handle the weight of London's cars, the English government auctioned it off to the highest bidder. But don't fret about its structural integrity! When the bridge moved to Lake Havasu City, workers reinforced it with concrete.

When something has been around this long, it's no surprise that ancient spirits would follow.

One particular legend is especially bone-chilling. During the bridge's dedication ceremony in 1971, one woman reportedly saw four men dressed in old-fashioned garb. At first she believed they were part of the festivities, but when she glanced back again the spectral images vanished before her eyes.

Numerous drivers have spotted dark ominous figures floating above the bridge.

If you hear a bloodcurdling scream, it could belong to the ghost of a 19th-century Englishman.

The terrifying tales even caught the attention of the show Ghost Adventures.

When the ghost experts visited the structure, they concluded that skeletons could be buried within the walls.

Whether you believe the tales or not, there's no denying the odd history surrounding Lake Havasu City's iconic bridge.
