With A Farmers Market And A Country Music Festival…There’s Nothing Like A Summer Weekend In This Alabama Town

There are several great towns in Alabama where we can spend a weekend, especially during the summer. One of these towns is Cullman. Take a look below to learn about this Alabama town and a couple of its weekend events that you can be a part of this summer.

Cullman, the county seat of Cullman County, Alabama, is a town that's located about an hour north of Birmingham and an hour south of Huntsville.

While spending a weekend in Cullman this summer, you'll certainly want to stop by Festhalle Farmers Market to get some fresh produce, which includes a variety of fruits and vegetables grown by local farmers.

You'll also find a variety of baked goods during your visit, including pies, cookies, breads, and more. If you have a sweet tooth, or know someone who does, you'll want to purchase one (or more) of these delicious baked goods.

If it's available at the time of your visit, be sure to get a bottle of local honey.

And of course, flowers! You can never have enough fresh flowers in your home. Festhalle Farmers Market usually has a variety of beautiful flowers to choose from, especially on weekends.

One of Cullman's biggest events, which started in 2012 as a celebration of recovery from the April 27, 2011 tornadoes, is Rock the South. Ever since its inception, this country music festival has continued to give back to the community.

This year's Rock the South is scheduled to take place July 20-22. Three days of country music fun! A few of the artists scheduled to perform are Riley Green, Cody Johnson, Zach Bryan, and the headliner, Chris Stapleton.

Tickets are currently for sale. Keep in mind, no outside food or drinks. There will be more than 25 food and beverage vendors onsite.

And for those of you wishing to stay onsite, there are also a variety of camping options.
