Delaware is lovely in all seasons, but some of us really love the winter. Personally, my favorite time of year is when I can have the beach all to myself for a morning walk, no matter how much I have to bundle up! For those of you who spend all winter in Delaware trying to stay warm, here are a few indoor adventures and attractions to keep you from feeling frosty.
1. Head out on a Brewery Tour
Delaware is home to more than just Dogfish! Many of our small towns (and cities, too!) are home to brillaint little breweries that serve up tasty lagers, IPAs and pilsners.

6. Spin across the ice in Bumper Cars!
7. Step back in time at Jessop's Tavern
Jessop's Tavern is one place in Delaware where you can step back in time. This colonial themed restaurant is located in a 300 year old building, and the authentic early American cuisine is always delicious.

Bridgeville is the antiquing capital of the First State. You could spend hours in Antique Alley, but don't leave town without checking out the Downtown district, too! Tiny shops and larger warehouses are the perfect places to shop on a blustery winter day.
9. Check out Dover's Air Mobility Command Museum
Dover is home to the Air Mobility Command Museum, where you can learn about our nation's aviation past with hands on exhibits and fascinating stories. This impressive and awe-inspiring military museum is one of Delaware's hidden gems.
10. Relax and stroll around the Delaware Contemporary
One of Delaware's best art museums is open all winter long, and you'll love their rotating exhibits. Contemporary art is always fun to view and interpret, but it's even better when you find out the museum is free to attend. They do run on donations, so contributing if you can is always appreciated.
