Take The Delaware Brewery Trail For A Weekend You’ll Never Forget
No matter what time of year it is, Delaware’s breweries are great places to visit. The lively crowds and the weekend events make it a fun trip for anyone with a taste for hops, so find yourself a few fellow beer geeks and hit the road to try some of the best.
Even though Delaware's a small state, we're home to some of the best breweries you'll ever try.
And I'm not just talking about Dogfish Head! While most beer geeks have visited our most famous brewery, the smaller ones scattered about are worth a visit, too. Find a designated driver and hit the road to check out a handful of smaller breweries in Delaware.

Dew Point Brewery in Yorklyn is your first stop.
Dew Point is easy to pass by - it's hidden in an old Yorklyn warehouse. Be sure to stop here, though, because their dubble will capture your heart! This small brewery is truly a hidden gem.
Bring your appetite to Stewart's Brewing Co. in Bear - the second stop on your trip.
Stewart's Brewing Co. is a great place to grab lunch and fuel up for your Delaware Brewery trip. Their beers range from pale ales to lagers, and their menu is extensive to fit any taste.
Blue Earl Brewery is next!
Blue Earl Brewery is one of Delaware's favorite breweries! Enjoy several tasty seasonal beers on tap after you take a tour, and hang out in the lively tasting room for as long as you'd like.
Head south to Dover's famous Fordham and Dominion Brewing Co.
Fordham and Dominion makes great beer - but that's not all! They're actually known for their root beer and sodas, so if you're feeling a little tipsy by now, sober up with some pop.
Float on to Mispillion River Brewing Company in Milford.
Mispillion River Brewing Company is another hidden gem - this rehabilitated warehouse is hiding stills and taps! Try some of their IPAs for a real treat.
Crooked Hammock Brewery in Lewes is your next quirky stop.
Crooked Hammock Brewery might be the most fun tasting room in Delaware. Enjoy snacks, yard games, and great conversation along with their famous brews.
Right across town, you'll find Big Oyster Brewery.
Big Oyster Brewery is in Lewes as well, and it's a great place to stop for some beer flights before wrapping up your trip. You'll love their seasonal ales and year-round lagers and pilsners.
Finally, roll into 3rd Wave Brewing for the final leg of your journey.
Plan your Delaware Brewery Road Trip around one of the weekend events at 3rd Wave - like a food truck night! You'll love the lively atmosphere of this brewery that's both in the middle of nowhere, and in the middle of it all!
Of course… if you somehow
haven’t been to Dogfish Head, plan a day trip down there, too. After all, it was named one of the Best Breweries in the Country.
