Connecticut is a stunning state, especially for nature lovers. And with 139 state parks spread across our little state, it’s safe to say we have plenty of options for enjoying our rugged natural beauty. Kent Falls State Park is a favorite destination for locals and tourists alike. And all it takes is one visit to see why.
The state park was established after 200 acres was donated to the state in 1919.
This is seen as one of the top spots for viewing fall foliage in the state.

You can wander across the covered bridge, hike the falls, and enjoy the sights and sounds of this underrated part of the state.
Kent Falls is actually a series of falls and cascades that covers about 250 feet in total.
It's strange to think about now, but it just goes to show that nature is incredibly powerful.
But at the top, at the third cascade, the rocks have been turned up on end by natural forces. This gives the waterfall a unique look. And while the water flow is heaviest in the spring, you'll also see things pick up after any rainfall.

Kent Falls State Park is a must-see. The park is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
