When it comes to traveling in the autumn, many people tend to stick to destinations with great fall foliage in Connecticut. After all, one of the best parts about the season is the magical transformation of all the greenery into fall’s golden hues. One particularly fun time is the month of October, when the focus is all about the chilly weather and approach of Halloween, before we get too hyper-focused on Thanksgiving and Christmas. One of the best places to celebrate Halloween in Connecticut is Old Wethersfield. This charming historic district has so much to love and it’s so much fun in the fall!

Old Wethersfield is great to visit at any time of year. The town has more than 1,100 historic buildings over two square miles. Founded in 1633, it's the oldest European-settled city in the state.
