The Most Unique Elvis Cafe In The World Is Right Here In Colorado
If you had to choose one person to name as the most iconic artist of all time, who would you say? There are only a handful of people who can live up to this infamy, one of whom is the one and only Elvis Presley! Are you a die-hard Elvis fan? If so, it is a great time to be a Coloradan, as one of the most unique Elvis cafe’s in the world is located right here in Colorado:
When you visit Nick's, you will be treated to more Elvis memorabilia than you have ever seen in one place, including records, rare photos, and other must-see collectibles.
While the ambiance itself is a reason to visit, our favorite part of Nick's Cafe is that it invented the one and only Fool's Gold Sandwich (AKA Elvis' favorite sandwich that he is remembered for today)!
As the story goes, one night in 1976, Elvis visited the former Colorado Mine Company turned Nick's Cafe and asked what the young Nick Andurlakis would recommend, which is when he was first introduced to the Fool's Gold Sandwich: sourdough stuffed with peanut butter, jam, and a pound of bacon.
After trying the unique concoction, The King was hooked and once sent a private plane from Graceland (pictured) to pick up sandwiches for Lisa Marie's birthday party.
