We’ve all heard the saying, “You are what you eat, so don’t be fast, cheap, easy, or fake,” but we may not necessarily agree on all counts. What’s so wrong with being cheap? (If you’re a food item, that is.) There’s almost nothing more satisfying than finding a wonderfully delicious meal that’s also affordable, and in fact, in a world where a $14 cocktail and $46 filet is somehow considered to be acceptable, it’s almost like discovering the Holy Grail. Fortunately for hungry Mile Highers we’ve got some truly tasty restaurants in Denver where you can fill ‘er up for under $10.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:
This uniquely tasty shop on South Pearl has some of the most delightful soups, sandwiches, and popsicles your taste buds have ever tasted, and I can guarantee that after just one visit, you'll be hooked. Their handcrafted sandwiches are packed with fresh, high quality ingredients like slow roasted pork tenderloin, grilled shrimp, shaved brussel sprouts, black eyed pea relish, homemade marmalade, and a whole host of other fantastic fixings.
Tucked away in Mayfair, is this charmingly eclectic cafe and coffeehouse that whips up some of the best quiche in the city, not to mention their toothsome burritos, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods.
