Everyone In Colorado Absolutely Loves These 11 Foods And Drinks
Let’s play a little game: When I mention a certain city or state, tell me which food item or drink first come to mind.. Philadelphia? New York? Chicago? I’m assuming you answered cheese steak, pizza, and cheesecake, right? (Just humor me and pretend I’m correct) Now..tell me what Colorado is known for. What comes to mind? How about drinks? Colorado isn’t as well known for a certain cuisine as other states, but with a little digging I was able to find 11 of the most popular food and drinks among Coloradoans. Enjoy!

Not surprising, considering the epic fishing you'll find on the Western Slope!

Unbeknownst to me, the Snowball is the official state drink of Colorado (if you're interested in making it, it's 1 part vodka, 2 parts Fresca, and 1 part lime juice).

Colorado has some pretty spectacular homegrown produce ranging from peaches (grown on the Slope) to melon (Southeast Plains) to chile (Southern CO.)

Like the brews? Then Colorado (with its hundreds of microbreweries) is the place for you!

...because what says Colorado more than deep fried you-know-whats?

This one actually came as a surprise to me, but apparently Colorado lamb is some of the best in the country!

1 parts vodka. 1 part Kahlua. 1 splash cola. 100% awesome.

When it doubt, smother your meal in some delish green chili -- it's the Colorado way (and we're famous for our chili!)

Beau Jo's. 'Nuff said.

Buffalo Burger > Beef Burger

Our neighbors directly to the south know how to do it and have shown us the way (Side Note: Huevos Rancheros trump all!)
