This Family Restaurant In Arkansas Is Worth A Trip To The Country

When traveling off-the-beaten-path, chances are, you’ll encounter a hidden gem along the way. A mom-and-pop shop serving some of the best darn country cookin’ you’ve ever eaten. And naturally, you must stop in to experience all that yummy goodness, right? Well, there is a family restaurant in Arkansas, nestled along the countryside in Kirby, and it’s sooo worth the trip to the middle of nowhere.

Located at the foothills of the Ouachita Mountain is the tiny town of Kirby, and it’s home to Sweetpea’s Smokehouse, a delicious BBQ restaurant.

It’s a family-owned restaurant housed in a wooden shack off Highway 70, and it has all the charm of grandma’s house, so you’ll feel welcomed.
It specializes in smoking various kinds of meats including chicken, beef, pork, deer, and more. Sweetpea's also provides a custom smoked meat service.

Stop by this BBQ shack on Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, but don’t miss out on the breakfast served on the weekends.
You won’t find a fancy place with a bunch of bells and whistles, but don’t let that fool you. This quaint restaurant serves some of the best down-home cookin’ in the Ouachitas.
