You Won’t Want To Miss Arkansas’ Biggest Ethnic Food Festival
If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, we have the perfect event for you. The 34th Annual International Greek Food Festival in Little Rock is happening this weekend (May 18-20, 2018). Let’s see what the state’s biggest ethnic food fest has to offer.
Entry to the fest is only three canned food items or $3 per person. All proceeds benefit more than 30 local charities.
The church is located at 1100 Napa Valley Dr., Little Rock, Arkansas 72211. The festival is open from Fri-Sat 11 am - 9 pm and from 11 am - 3 pm on Sunday.
World styles will include Greek-American Folk, Irish, Dabkeh Middle Eastern, and others.
The kid area will have crafts, face painting, games and rides. Picky eaters will find solace in the area's hot dog stand.
Vendors will include the Annunciation Book Store, imported specialty foods, and locally-made pastries.
After all, this is a food festival.
Gyros, falafel, and baklava will be all around as well as spanakopita (filo dough filled with layers of feta cheese, spinach and herbs), loukanikos (flavorful pork), melomacharona (honey-dipped cookies), and tons more. Start your foodie adventure with a "My Big Fat Greek Platter," it comes with generous portions of pastitsio, spanakopita, and Greek chicken paired with a crisp Greek salad.
