Celebrities Used To Flock To This Tiny Arizona Town To Experience Its Healing Mineral Waters
If you’ve ever heard of Morristown (population: 187), it’s probably for one reason and one alone: Castle Hot Springs. This historic small town in Arizona is home to our state’s very first wellness resort, and it’s just as popular today as it was when it first opened in 1896. Celebrities, dignitaries, and other notable figures once flocked to the resort to experience the alleged healing properties of its mineral waters. See for yourself:
Arizona's first luxury resort, Castle Hot Springs first opened in 1896.
The property has endured much adversity since that time - two fires and multiple ownership changes being the main obstacles - yet it still stands as one of Arizona's premier wellness destinations.
The property is centered around three natural pools that are fed by the fabled hot spring.
There is also a large main pool that is heated by the warm waters of the hot spring pools.
While immersing yourself in the rejuvenating spring waters is sure to be the highlight of your stay, the resort offers a plethora of other activities such as rock climbing, guided hikes, yoga, and more.
Amenities and square footage vary based on which lodging option you choose - the bungalows, for example, even have private, spring-fed outdoor tubs - but the common denominator is an environment in which you can fully relax and recharge.
