Go Hiking With Mules In Arizona For An Adventure Unlike Any Other
Most Arizonans know that the
Pony Express still operates here in the Grand Canyon State, but what if you could take a ride on it? Wildland Trekking, an all-inclusive hiking excursion company, leads a mule-assisted trip through the Grand Canyon. Leave all the heavy lifting to them while you just enjoy the unparalleled views!
Even if you're an Arizona native, planning a trip to the Grand Canyon can be overwhelming. Its vastness makes it impossible to explore every inch of, especially without a well-thought-out itinerary.
Wildland Trekking does all the hard work, taking people of all ages and fitness levels to the high points of this world wonder.
It all starts at the South Rim, where you'll hike some of the canyon's most famous trails. Other stops include Phantom Ranch, Indian Garden, and plenty of iconic destinations.
There's truly no better way to experience the Grand Canyon in its entirety.
Mules carry all the gear, save for a small backpack each hiker wears. Let the Pony Express do its job while you revel in the breathtaking scenery.
You'll receive a small sack for lightweight belongings that the animals will carry.
You'll stay at Bright Angel Campground for two nights, relaxing as the Colorado River's gentle current serves as a lullaby. Dusk is such a beautiful time here, with the sunset casting an amber glow on the towering red rock vistas.
Tents and sleeping bags are provided, so that's one less thing to worry about packing.
Three meals and a variety of snacks are included. Vegan, vegetarian, kosher, and gluten-free diets can be accommodated.
You'll also receive trekking poles, a first aid kit, and national park camping permits.
Trips need to be reserved about five months in advance, as permits are issued on a lottery basis and tend to run out quickly.
A 5% discount is awarded for early registration, no matter which dates you sign up for!
