Chicken with white barbecue sauce was made famous by Bob Gibson after he created his unique sauce in 1925. It didn't take long before it was offered at his Decatur restaurant, in addition to other restaurants throughout the South.

Mr. Gibson's white barbecue sauce is simple, yet very tasty. Its main ingredients are mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and just the right amount of black pepper.
