Alabama is well known for its delicious barbecue. In fact, just about every town throughout the state has at least one restaurant that serves this Southern classic. Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Q is an award-winning restaurant that smokes some of the best barbecue in town. It's best known for its smoked chicken and tangy white barbecue sauce. It's also one of the oldest barbecue restaurants in the world.
2. Dreamland Bar-B-Que - Tuscaloosa
Dreamland Bar-B-Que has been serving some of the Southeast's most delicious barbecue since 1958. Even though their menu features a great selection of barbecue favorites, most of the customers come for the restaurant's ribs.

7. Top Hat Barbecue - Hayden
Top Hat Barbecue is a family owned and operated restaurant that's been serving some of Alabama's best barbecue since 1967. In addition to its barbecue, this restaurant is also well known for its fried catfish.
8. Down South BBQ - Foley
Down South BBQ serves some of the best barbecue on Alabama's Gulf Coast. The restaurant's most unique menu item is its cornbread sandwich, which consists of a delicious cornbread bun and a mound of slow-roasted meat.
