Located just outside of the small town of El Reno, this creepy cemetery has been witness to some of the darkest events in Oklahoma’s history. From tales of hauntings to ghostly apparitions, visitors have reported experiencing a variety of strange phenomena when visiting Fort Reno Cemetery.
Historic Fort Reno is one of Oklahoma's most historic landmarks. It is an old military post that began in 1874 as a safe haven for the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes during the Indian Wars era and as a German POW Camp during World War II.
Located on the grounds is Fort Reno Cemetery - a final resting place for US horse cavalry soldiers, their loved ones, and some Native Americans. Before visiting please check with the facility to see what days and hours they are open.
