The area around Paxton, Nebraska has played many roles over the years. The Oregon Trail passed through nearby, and after the railroad came to the area, the place that is now Paxton became a railroad siding. It grew into a fine Western town over the next few decades. While the town has, of course, changed significantly since then, it’s always held onto a bit of that pioneer spirit. When you drive through today, you can almost picture that pioneer town.
