Most People Don’t Know There’s A Little Eiffel Tower In Texas
That's right, y'all. It may not be as grandiose as the original, but it's one all our own. It might be mistaken for the real thing if not for the Texas twist we put on it! See for yourself:
Paris is a sleepy little Northeast Texas town, but one harboring an extremely unique secret.
This Eiffel Tower replica was erected in 1993 to pay homage to the town's French namesake, much like other US cities named "Paris" have done.
Our version, however, is undeniably the best since we put a Texas twist on it by adorning it with a cowboy hat.
The accessory was added to make it second in height to only the original itself, but the attempt was all in vain after Las Vegas built a replica nearly eight times its size (540 feet tall.)
Nevertheless, our Eiffel Tower is still a hidden gem unknown to many Texans, and should definitely be a stop on your next road trip up north.
Who knows? Maybe if it becomes enough of a tourist attraction, the town will rebuild it as tall as the real thing!
Have you ever seen the Eiffel Tower in Paris? Are there any other replicas of famous landmarks in Texas?
