Get your Bavarian culture fix at this annual Oktoberfest in the Upstate. Walhalla's annual festival celebrating Bavarian culture is nearly 40 years old. It's always jam-packed with German beer, music and food. The dates this year are October 20-22, 2017.
This giant 12-day extravaganza is more than just amusement rides and fair food. There are local competitions in just about everything from baking to raising the best and prettiest farm animals. Most people know the Carolina Cider Company for the many varieties of ciders they sell from their locations along Hwy 17 South in Yemassee. But they have so many other goodies to take home, including fresh pies. Get yours at 81 Charleston Hwy. Yemassee, SC. They're open seven days a week.
Getting to the top is an accomplishment you'll never forget and a splendid way to usher in the fall season. The hike to the top is 3.6 miles, and is considered a moderate trail. The trail head is located inside Table Rock State Park at 158 E Ellison Ln., Pickens, SC 29671.
The first weekend in October promises to deliver plenty of mouthwatering seafood at the annual Beaufort Shrimp Festival held on the waterfront in downtown Beaufort. Enjoy live music, vendors and more seafood than you can possibly imagine. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m on Friday. The event spans October 6th and 7th, 2017 in historic downtown Beaufort.
