Van Abel’s opened in 1848 as a saloon and rest stop for cattle-driving farmers en route to Green Bay. There are a few items on the menu reminiscent of those old days and Old Fashioneds come served in a mason jar, but everything at Van Abel's is updated and amazing.

Roepke's grew out of a bar that was built to draw in patrons after a nearby church service let out. There are less than 800 people in Stoddard, but they've managed to keep Rocky's in business since 1959.
