This Waterfall Swimming Hole In Wisconsin Is So Hidden You’ll Probably Have It All To Yourself
Discover the hidden gem of Lake Redstone County Park, featuring a man-made waterfall and secluded swimming hole.
There’s nothing quite as exciting as discovering a new site or attraction. It’s even better when said site or attraction is so hidden that you’ll probably have it all to yourself. These kinds of gems are far and few between; however, we’ve got a new one, which comes in the form of the Lake Redstone waterfall, for you to add to your bucket list. Take a look:
Within the small village of La Valle, you’ll find Lake Redstone County Park.
The park is still unknown to most travelers new to the area. Please note that parking may require a parking sticker (annual or day pass) which can be purchased on arrival or in advance.
Remotely located, the park is the very definition of a hidden gem, remaining a secret to those who don’t live in the area.
Find Lake Redstone County Park at the southern end of Lake Redstone.
One hidden gem worth seeking out, the park features a playground, beach, and…
…a cascading waterfall with a swimming hole.
Clean and pristine the water below the fall is perfect for cooling off on a hot day.
The waterfall is created with the help of a dam. It's a great spot for photography and nature lovers.
Not naturally occurring, the towering waterfall is actually created by a spillway. However, the fact that it’s man-made doesn’t make it any less stunning.
The park also encompasses a swimming beach, picnic areas, playgrounds for kids, and restrooms.
The waterfall’s best feature, though, is that it’s usually free of people.
