Housed In A 65-Year-Old Farmhouse On 85 Picturesque Acres, The Restaurant At Wisconsin’s Pine Brook Farm Is A Must-Visit
Pine Brook Farm offers a unique dining experience with fresh, locally sourced food in a historic and picturesque setting.
If you’re willing to travel for good food, we’ve got just the place for you – Pine Brook Farm. The farm may be remotely located in a small town; however, a visit is well worth it since it’s home to an incredible restaurant that serves up "real" food in a picturesque setting. Take a look:
A picturesque 85-acre property, Pine Brook Farm is hidden in the small town of Spooner.
Boasting just as much history as natural beauty, the farm’s roots date back to the turn of the century when it was owned and used as a retreat by Dr. Arthur Gillette.
In 2013, new owners took over the farm and transformed the historic farmhouse into Pine Brook Farm Restaurant.
Though the farmhouse has been remodeled, it’s retained many of its original features, such as the floors, radiators, and fireplace, resulting in one heck of a cozy restaurant.
Renovations weren’t limited to the interior of the farmhouse, though. The spacious porch has been transformed into an outdoor dining area with exceptional farm views.
But it’s not just the setting and surroundings that make Pine Brook Farm Restaurant so special. There’s also its amazing home-cooked fare.
Aiming to serve only the freshest of the fresh, the eatery uses locally raised grass-fed beef and bison as well as pasture-raised pork.
Keeping with the farm-fresh theme, every meal is cooked to order. What’s more, everything is cooked on the stovetop or grill – there’s not one deep-fried item on the menu.
But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy a pan-fried dish. In fact, the Canadian Walleye, which is lightly breaded and pan-fried in real butter, is the eatery’s most popular item.
Decadent homemade desserts perfectly complete the menu – and any meal.
Have specific dietary needs? No problem; the restaurant is more than willing to accommodate dietary concerns, including vegetarian and dairy-free.
Your time at the farm doesn’t have to end when your meal does, though. Diners are welcome to stroll around the property and take in the magnificent vistas.
You can also grab a drink at the farm’s bar, the Woodtick Lounge. Open seasonally (May – October), it’s been called the most unique outdoor bar in the Northwoods.
Serving up unforgettable food in a setting to match, a visit to Pine Brook Farm Restaurant is sure to be a memorable one.
Pine Brook Farm Restaurant’s hours change seasonally. The current hours are Thursday – Saturday 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. For more information, call (715) 635-4511. You can also visit the farm’s website or Facebook page.
