Everyone knows that brunch is by far the best meal, and here in Milwaukee we do it
right. Whether you’re up at the crack of dawn or the crack of noon, brunch is waiting with everything from the perfect bloody mary to bottomless mimosas. There are so many restaurants in MKE with wicked awesome brunches nowadays, but here are thirteen that you absolutely must try for yourself!
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. 1. Simple Café
This east side spot is perfect for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. They offer fresh and Asian-inspired dishes and serve brunch all day! Simple Cafe is relaxing and delicious, and their Korean BBQ Bowl will change your life.

2. The National Café & Takeaway
This pleasant little cafe on National Avenue is often overlooked, but it shouldn't be! The National is a quaint spot that serves amazing brunch every Tuesday through Sunday. Everything on their menu is incredible, and they have a large cafe drink menu serving Anodyne coffee to pair with your meal. Great breakfast and coffee always makes the perfect combo! As it is a small venue, the seating can be sparse, but don't worry, they do takeout too!

3. The Palomino
Brunch at Palomino is served up right! This Bay View spot serves up comfort food, and their brunch is no different. A homemade biscuit, cheesy grits, and a good bloody mary will have you feeling comforted all afternoon.

4. Honeypie Cafe
Honeypie is another Bay View gem serving up the perfect weekend brunch. All of their bakery goodies are made from scratch, and the food will have you coming back again and again.

5. Café At the Plaza
This hidden cafe inside The Plaza Hotel is a Milwaukee favorite. You can enjoy your brunch on an elegant patio nestled away in back that is sure to make you feel like you’re in an enchanted garden. Not only is the atmosphere awesome, they serve some of the most delicious and unique artisan dishes every day from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and most of the cafe’s ingredients are locally sourced.

6. Café Benelux
Grand Café Benelux is part of the Lowland Group owning Benelux, Hollander, and Centraal. With a killer bloody, an extensive 'bier' list, a patio on the roof, and an extensive brunch menu, this downtown spot will hit the spot every time.

7. Engine Company No. 3
This renovated firehouse is as cool as its brunch! With a strong focus on fresh, delicious, and locally sourced food, you can't go wrong. Anything you order here is a good choice, and will likely be something you've never tried before, as their food is quite unique! You can enjoy brunch every Tuesday through Sunday until 2 p.m., but we definitely recommend making reservations for this popular Walker's Point joint.

8. Beerline Cafe
Beerline is a popular spot that has arguably become
Milwaukee's best breakfast spot
. This creperie serves up breakfast food all day, but they also have lunch options, and mimosas for your day-drinking needs. You could say this vegetarian spot is an all day brunch spot, and is sure to satisfy everyone—vegetarian or not.

9. Fuel Cafe 5th Street
Fuel on 5th is the sister restaurant to the original Fuel Cafe in Riverwest, which opened in 1993. This new Walker's Point spot is hip and serves up an amazingly fresh and unique brunch. Everything here is homemade, from the biscuits to the pickle in your bloody mary! You can pair their awesome food with classic Fuel coffee every weekend until 3 p.m., and now Monday's too!

The name says it all. This modern Milwaukee spot serves up brunch until 3 p.m., every day of the week!

11. Mad Rooster Cafe
This big red barn on Miller Parkway in West Milwaukee is hard to miss. The parking lot is always packed, so be prepared for a wait, but it is well worth it. The popular brunch spot is only open until 3 p.m., and has an extensive Latin-inspired menu. Their signature baby red potatoes are a must-have add-on to any dish, and pair it with a bloody mary, you're all set!

12. The Noble
This is one place to truly feel homey in Walker's Point, and their wicked brunch is only on Monday afternoons! Their menu—full of seasonal and fresh ingredients—changes daily and is drawn on a chalkboard. This quaint spot will make you feel right at home; just make sure to call for reservations, as seating is sparse.

13. Story Hill BKC
This American spot has been blowing up the edge of Wauwatosa, and their weekend brunch is a huge reason why! Their food and drinks are all as locally sourced as possible, and every dish is absolutely decadent.
