These 11 Burger Joints In Milwaukee Will Make Your Taste Buds Explode
A beer and a burger is the perfect combination, and there’s no other place quite like Milwaukee to enjoy both. Brew City is filled with incredible burger joints, it’s just how we roll. It was hard to pick, but here are 11 mouthwatering burgers for you to sink your teeth into.
We’re aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life. While we continue to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, please take proper precautions or add them to your bucket list to see at a later date. If you know of a local business that could use some extra support during these times, please nominate them here:
1. Oscar's Pub & Grill
Sink your teeth into Milwaukee's best burger! At least, this burger has been named that quite a few times. Oscar's is a friendly and affordable pub in Milwaukee with some of the friendliest owners: Oscar and Elisabeth. "The Big "O"" is their featured cheeseburger, and it is absolutely to-die-for.
Oscar's Pub & Grill is located at 1712 W. Pierce Street, Milwaukee.
2. AJ Bomber's
AJ Bomber's has been rapidly growing in popularity, and for good reason. Their completely customizable and made-to-order burgers will leave you fully satisfied. Not only that, but they are served up with peanuts that are "bombed" over to your table with a 'missile'! AJ Bomber's is an awesome experience to be had, with one of Milwaukee's most mouthwatering burgers.
3. Sobelmans Pub and Grill
Sobelmans is an iconic MKE spot with the best burgers and bloodies in town! The best part? You can get a burger
on your bloody, so you don't even have to choose.
Sobelmans Pub and Grill is located at 1900 W. St. Paul Avenue and 1601 W. Wells Street in Milwaukee.
4. Kopp's Frozen Custard
Kopp's has been a Milwaukee landmark since 1950. Though it's a frozen custard joint first (because in Milwaukee we eat
custard,) their greasy and gooey "jumbo" burgers are a top-contender. Frozen custard and hamburgers go hand-in-hand, and Kopp's is a Milwaukee ritual everyone must participate in at least once before they die.
Kopp's Frozen Custard has three locations: 7631 W. Layton Avenue in Greenfield, 18880 W. Bluemound Road in Brookfield, and 5373 N. Port Washington Road in Glendale.
5. Stack'd Burger Bar
Stack'd is a self-proclaimed "burger bar for foodies," and we can see why. Featuring a fully customizable menu with local ingredients, you can create the freshest made-to-order burger around. Choose from favorites like grass-fed beef or veggie options like the black bean or portobello patty, and top your burger with everything from the basics to fried pickles! This burger bar is perfect for those who are serious about their burgers.
Stack'd Burger Bar is located at 170 S. 1st Street in Milwaukee.
6. Point Burger Bar
We've all heard the Point Burger Bar commercials — the jingle is sure to get stuck in your head. Besides an addicting jingle, their burgers are not to be forgotten. Serving up Steven's Point Brewery beer, this is the perfect spot to sit back and grab a brew and a burger any night of the week.
Point Burger Bar is located at 10950 W. Good Hope Road in Milwaukee.
7. Northpoint Custard
In true Milwaukee fashion, this burger spot is also a custard spot first. Northpoint is located right off of Bradford Beach and is actually considered part of the Milwaukee County Parks System. Their cheeseburgers are all the greasy goodness you could ask for after spending a day at the beach.
Northpoint Custard is located at 2272 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive in Milwaukee.
8. Merriment Social
Merriment Social takes burgers as an artistry. This fifth ward restaurant crafts up tasty and unique patties using ever-changing seasonal ingredients. They're constantly trying new, delicious recipes, but the Merriment Burger is tough to top.
Merriment Social is located at 240 E. Pittsburgh Avenue in Milwaukee.
9. Miller Time Pub and Grill
Miller Time is arguably one of the best Milwaukee bars, and a big reason for that is that their food can't be beat! They serve craft burgers with a boot of draft beer, and honestly, what else sounds more Milwaukee?
Miller Time Pub and Grill is located at 509 W. Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee.
10. Hamburger Mary's
Hamburger Mary's is a fabulous bar and restaurant that recently moved to Walker's Point. With whopping half-pound burgers like the "Queen Mary" and "Buffy the Burger Slayer," this is one place to eat until you explode. Their mouthwatering burgers also come with a drag show every week!
Hamburger Mary's is located at 730 S. 5th Street in Milwaukee.
11. Crafty Cow
As the name suggests, this is one burger joint that takes its craft seriously. As one of Bay View's only burger spots, not only do they create unique burgers but they also partner with local organizations to give back to the community. Crafty Cow is an all around must-visit.
Crafty Cow is located at 2675 S. Kinnickinnic Avenue in Milwaukee.
