Where can I dine at themed restaurants in Wisconsin?
The state of Wisconsin is known for its homey, comfort food-centric meals served up with a whole heap of Midwest hospitality. Themed restaurants aren’t as prevalent, but you can bet your bottom dollar that they exist! Head to Maggie’s Restaurant in Bayfield to eat in a flamingo ensconced dining space that serves flamingo hot sauce on the menu. It’s known as “Flamingo Land” and “The Pink Palace.” PC Junction in Baileys Harbor is a train-themed restaurant, and Safe House in Milwaukee is spy-themed, requiring a password to make it through the door.
What are the best buffet restaurants in Wisconsin?
Wisconsin is a large state, so it can be difficult to narrow down the best buffet restaurants in the entire state as opposed to focusing on a city like Madison or a region like the Dells. We’d recommend North Country Steak Buffet in La. Crosse for the steak grilled-to-order and the buffet salad and dessert bar, or perhaps Journey Buffet in Madison for the excellent Chinese meals, sushi rolls, and even a dessert bar. iSpoon Buffet is great in Wisconsin Rapids, and Royal Buffet in New Richmond is also a top spot for families and even a night to yourself.
Do any Wisconsin restaurants serve the world’s best food?
The cuisine of Wisconsin tends to be very dairy-centric. Frozen custard, homemade cheeses, and German-inspired meals of bratwurst and butter burgers are the main draws of the state. We’d recommend you branch out and try a Limburger Sandwich if you’re ever in the state – dark bread made with raw onions and horseradish – or perhaps a stack of Swedish pancakes served with lingonberries.
