If spending a relaxing day at the farm is just what you need right now, fuel up and head to the small town of East Troy in Walworth County. An afternoon of fun at Green Meadows Petting Farm awaits you.

Green Meadows Petting Farm has been a local favorite for decades.

Located on the outskirts of East Troy, the space is full of friendly animals awaiting your attention.

The petting farm is open Tuesday - Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The costs is $14 per person, or you can score a season pass for $42 each if you plan to come often.

The daily schedule includes pony rides, multiple daily hay rides, and a 3:30 p.m. Goat Run.

This is the time when goats migrate from their day pen to their night pen, and little farm guests are welcome to run with them.

You'll see lots of young children here, but don't think there's an age limit on who gets to pet these pets.

You'll see plenty of adults in the Kitten Barn as well.

The tortoise is fed at 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. every day, but you're welcome to check him out anytime you can find him.

It's pretty fascinating to get so close to such an impressive creature.

School field trips are always welcome here, and you can even rent the Party Barn for your private event.

Discounted pricing is offered for groups of 25 or more, but you'll need a reservation.

Green Mountain Farm is typically open from May - November.
