With A Waterslide And A Beach, You Can Enjoy The Best Of Both Worlds At This Wisconsin Park
There are lots of options for staying cool in the Badger State. We’ve got countless water parks, swimming holes, and beaches. We even have a few places that are a combination of all three – and that’s exactly the case with Fireman’s Park. The perfect place to beat the heat, the park features a limestone-quarry-turned-swimming-hole, beach, waterslide, and a splash pad. Take a look:
We're aware that these uncertain times are limiting many aspects of life as we all practice social and physical distancing. While we're continuing to feature destinations that make our state wonderful, we don’t expect or encourage you to go check them out immediately. We believe that supporting local attractions is important now more than ever and we hope our articles inspire your future adventures! And on that note, please nominate your favorite local business that could use some love right now: https://www.onlyinyourstate.com/nominate/
Fireman’s Park Beach is open from 12 p.m. – 7 p.m. June 20th thru August 7th, and 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. August 3rd – 28th. Admission to the beach can be paid by cash or check. For more information, call (608) 848-6809. You can also visit the City of Verona website or the Fireman’s Park and Beach Facebook page.
Please note: In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, beach capacity is limited to 125 people. That capacity has been reached several times so far. In effort to alleviate issues with people showing up and not being able to swim, the park is implementing an online sign-up, which allows visitors to reserve a specific time slot.
This isn’t the only place you can cool off and have some fun. Read about another here.
