Here’s what you need to know about this amazing floating bar in Wisconsin:
The Sandbar was the brainchild of Mike and Kathleen Langlois, who own and manage the of Ridgewood on the River, an RV camping resort on the Wisconsin River's Biron Flowage.
The bar helped the couple with a longtime dream: help others experience the beauty of the Byron Flowage. The flowage is a 2,187-acre lake on the Wisconsin River that’s located in Portage and Wood Counties.
The Sandbar is a unique and one-of-a-kind riverboat that can seat up to 35 people. There are bathrooms on board for customers and it’s staffed with a crew that includes a captain, cook, and bartenders.
The bar can be rented out for private cruises and events and on other days it can be found out on the flowage - the flowage is a busy spot on warm summer days and the Sandbar is the place to be!
A ramp helps people climb aboard for frozen margaritas, and Sandbar classic drinks like Pirate Punch and Painkillers. There’s also a small food menu. There’s plenty of seating and rails to help hold your drink!
