Looking for a way to cool off and have fun in the summer heat? Look no further than West Virginia’s waterparks. There are more than I thought there were. Here are some of West Virginia’s best waterparks.

The city of Hurricane's wave pool offers lots of fun.

Look at that water slide!

Located in Julian, W.Va. Doesn't this look fun?

The park is located inside Big Bear Lake camp grounds in Bruceton Mills ands and has two water slides and a splash area for kids.

Located in Inwood. The water park is just one part of the family fun center, which also has an arcade and a mini golf, go carts and battling cages.

Located at the park in Fairmont.

Located in Clarksburg. This one looks very refreshing.

Not necessarily like the one pictured but an indoor water park called Volcano Island has been the works for a while in Fairmont but has not been completed. Its website promises a "dizzying array of slides, pools and attractions," as well as a lazy river with waterfalls.
Those are the water parks that I found but there are also spray grounds in Hurricane and Fairmont that look like a lot of fun. Splash grounds or spray grounds are essentially water playgrounds and they’re popular for small children.
