10 Things People Miss The Most About West Virginia When They Leave
As much as we love West Virginia, sometimes jobs and families take us elsewhere in the world. While we may leave the Mountain State, it will never leave us.
Here are a few of the things we miss most about West Virginia when we move away:

I know when I moved away briefly, I was often homesick for the mountains. This looks like home to me.

After you’re away for a while, these can sound like music to your ears.

There’s something magical about seeing a field light up like this.

Of course you miss your family and friends there, but you also miss how friendly even the strangers are as you walk down the street or pass them in businesses.

You don’t get color like this just anywhere.

I've said it before, but when I was a kid traveling for vacation or whatnot, I always knew I was home when I saw the gold on the capitol dome.

You can’t beat this view.

Whether you like hiking, fishing or mountain climbing, West Virginia's outdoor recreation cannot be beat.

Going to WVU and Marshall games is one of the things that makes fall so great here.

Real talk: how many of you who have moved away still get a Tudor's Biscuit whenever you're home? I used to make sure I did at least once in a while.
