That's right - you can climb them, and the view of Germany Valley from the top is jaw-dropping.

The trail forms a 2.7-mile loop and climbs over 800 feet in elevation, so make sure to bring some water with you for this moderately difficult trek.
Then, hot and sweaty from the climb, it's time to round out the day with a swim in one of the state's best swimming holes, tucked away against a sandstone cliff in Seneca Creek, near the Discovery Center bridge.

Still have a little bit of time before the day ends? Explore Sites Homestead and gardens, a living history museum next to the Discovery Center.

What a way to spend a day – learn more here at the Forest Service’s website. And the only money you need is for the gas to get here. If you do happen to have some spare change jingling around in your pocket, though, be sure to swing by West Virginia’s oldest general store or grab a bite to eat at the restaurant on its roof.
