Get Ready For The Sale Of The Year With The Town-Sized Flea Market In Washington
Packwood is a tiny mountain town in Lewis County near Mount Rainier National Park. With a population of less than 400 people, it's safe to say this is small town living -- and that's just how the locals like it.
But every year, for Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend, Packwood is packed with vendors, artists, food trucks, and people from all over the state. After a brief pause in 2020 for obvious reasons, Washington's most enormous flea market will resume this year, and we couldn't be happier.
You've probably heard the expression "blink and you'll miss it." That is an accurate description of Packwood.
This area is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by lush green trees and mountains. There also aren't a lot of amenities.
The Packwood Flea Market seems to occupy most of the town.
The booths take over an enormous lot located directly across from the Mobil gas station.
This flea market is eagerly anticipated by many Washingtonians who make it an annual tradition.
If you miss the event on Memorial Day weekend, you can always try for Labor Day weekend.
So... what will you find here?
The truth is, you really will see a little bit of everything. From creative crafts to booths that serve as yard sales, you'll see it all.
Shopping tends to make us hungry, but fear not -- you'll see plenty of food vendors here as well.
There are even some campsites for those who'd like to make a weekend of it and spend the night.
The Packwood Flea Market is an annual tradition we're all excited to see return.
This is shopping local at its finest.
