What makes this trail such a popular one is the fact that it's shorter than many Shenandoah National Park alternatives. The loop which leaves from the parking lot (mile 41.7) is just 1.5 miles in length.

Hikers have reported that this is a great trail for folks of all ages. Along the way, you'll encounter the iconic Appalachian Trail as well as a waterfall or two. And while the trail itself is certainly spectacular, the real reward awaits you at the summit.
