In just a few weeks, fall will be in full swing here in Virginia. Visions of apple orchards, corn mazes, and Halloween festivities have already begun to fill our heads, and we can't wait to enjoy all that this magical season has to offer. There's so much to love about the Halloween season here in Virginia, and this year, you'll want to mark your calendar for The Glow, a mesmerizing trail illuminated by hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins.

The event will be hosted at Lake Fairfax Park in Reston, Virginia from October 4th - 28th. By day, this park offers a dazzling array of fall foliage and by night, the landscape will transform into something truly spectacular.

The trail measures just 1/3 mile in length but is illuminated by over 5,000 pumpkins. Visitors of all ages are encouraged to admire this whimsical display of Halloween spirit.

In addition to traditional pumpkins, you can expect to see some truly jaw-dropping larger-than-life pumpkin creations.

Most of the pumpkins on site have been sourced from farmers in the area.

Plan to spend between 30 to 45 minutes meandering the trail. Tickets are sold every half hour to ensure that the trail doesn't get too crowded.

When you're not wandering the trail, you can enjoy something from the food and drink concession stand. There's truly a little something for everyone!
