Ever wonder where reindeer live when they’re not helping Santa travel all over the world? Well right in the Green Mountain State, you’ll find them at this Reindeer Farm in Vermont.

The Broe family had always been dairy farmers, until the Reindeer Farm became their "hobby farm." Now, certain members of the family care for these majestic creatures every day as the others continue to tend to the dairy farm.
The tours begin with Reindeer School where you'll get to learn about the reindeer and how they live.

Everyone gathers inside the farm's Reindeer Lodge to attend "Reindeer School." Have a hard time paying attention? Don't worry! This is a very hands-on class where you'll get to touch and feel reindeer antlers, reindeer hide and reindeer fur.
Then, you get to get up close and personal with the reindeer where you'll get the chance to meet reindeer in Vermont.

You might even get to help feed them, which makes for one of the more unique outdoor winter activities in Vermont.

The reindeer aren't the only furry friends on this farm.

In addition to the reindeer, the farm is also home to mini goats, mini donkeys, ponies, chickens, ducks, and a pot bellied pig named Roscoe! This place is one of many kid-friendly Christmas events in Vermont that everyone should know about.
Every year the reindeer shed their large antlers.

Tours happen on Saturday & Sundays by appointment at 10 am and 1 pm. Adults are $10 each and children ages 3 – 10 are $6.00. We think yes! There are not only dozens of winter activities that are great in Vermont, but there are also plenty of charming and snowy picturesque towns to visit as well. From skiing and ice skating to visiting reindeer farms and horseback riding, Vermont during the winter is a wonderful place to be. Here are some of the best towns to visit during Vermont’s winter wonderland: Stowe, Burlington, Shelburne, Brattleboro, and Montpelier. 

What are the best drive-thru light shows in Vermont? 

When winter rolls around it’s time to start planning fun holiday activities. And in Vermont, there is so much to look forward to during the winter months. One of the best things is driving around the state and seeing all the holiday lights and decorations. Every year in Randolph you can find the Winter Lights Parade which displays some of the most festive lights you’ll see all season. Another great place to visit is Church Street Marketplace in Burlington, where you can stroll down the enchanting pedestrian-only street which is decorated and lit up for the holiday season.

What are the most beautiful hikes in Vermont?

VT may be small but it’s practically impossible to run out of amazing hikes. One of the most scenic hikes in Vermont is the hike up Mt. Mansfield, which provides some of the most spectacular views in our state. If you are interested in hiking Mt. Mansfield, we highly recommend taking the Sunset Ridge Trail; the trail is easily accessible from Underhill State Park and is well marked. Some other beautiful hikes in Vermont are 1. Mount Pisgah Trail, 2. Camel’s Hump Trail, and 3. Lye Brook Falls Trail. Happy hiking!
