Finish Your Meal At These 9 Amazing Vermont Places… If You Can
Vermont is all about healthy living and fresh food, but we love our comfort food as well, so we’ve found some dishes in VT that will challenge your dedication to finishing the job! Sometimes the meal might be free, other times you will be rewarded with bragging rights. In any event, these meals are so huge, they take the word ‘challenge’ to a whole new level.
1. Papa Pete's of Bennington, VT - Home of the Giant Pancakes, 1104 Woodford Road (Route 9 east), Bennington
This place is known for its giant pancakes, but do you think you could handle their "pancake challenge?"
This guy did!
But it's harder than it looks. In this case: Pancakes - 1, Challenger - 0.
2. Handy's Lunch Fan Club,
Can you handle the Chuck Norris at Handy's? This ultimate breakfast sandwich has 5 pieces of french toast, 4 eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, a burger and corned beef!
The prize here is fame and notoriety. Challengers have their picture taken and everyone will know if you finished it...
Or if you didn't. Pictured is Harper from Memphis with his leftovers. Hi Harper! Try again soon, y'all!
3. Rozzi's Lakeshore Tavern, 1022 W. Lakeshore Dr., Malletts Bay
Here is someone who is putting fitness aside to take the Dozer Challenge. Two 1 lb. Beef patties, 8 slices of bacon, 4 slices of cheese and all the fixings, served on a cornbread roll with a large order of fries. It must be eaten in 30 minutes or less to win a free t-shirt and your picture on the wall.
This guy was clearly not up for the Dozer challenge!
4. Bratwurst Eating Contest, Killington Oktoberfest

The top three champions receive a donation to a charity of their choice in the amount of $300 for first place, $200 for second place, and $100 for third place. Go hungry because those snapping good brats will be going down by the dozens!
