This amazing park in Killington is home to one stunning boardwalk.
Thundering Falls Trail is actually the first universally-accessible part of the Appalachian Trail in the state.
The trail includes a 900-foot boardwalk that’s perfectly situated for the best views.
The boardwalk offers breathtaking views of the Ottauquechee Valley and surrounding forest.
It’s gorgeous any time of year, but particularly stunning in the fall.
Of course, the centerpiece of this park is the 140-foot Thundering Falls. It’s part of Kent Brook and right by a historic mill that runs on the falls’ energy.
Thundering Falls is actually the sixth-tallest waterfall in Vermont, so you know it’s worth a look.
This boardwalk is ideal for smaller kids or people who like a nature walk that isn’t too strenuous. If you like, you can venture further along the trail for more of a workout.
The area is free to enter and there is parking on River Road. Stop by this magical boardwalk and explore the Vermont wilderness without even lacing up your hiking boots.
