We love our waterfalls in Utah! But even more, we love to chase waterfalls! While you can easily spend days or even weeks chasing waterfalls around the Beehive State, if you are looking for the ultimate summer day trip, we have an adventure for you! There are five waterfalls in Utah Valley that you can visit in a single day — the perfect way to spend time outdoors. While this adventure may take several hours to complete, believe us, you’ll want to go on this journey every single summer.

Battle Creek Falls

The beginning of our day starts at the enchanting Battle Creek Falls, which is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Utah Valley area. This is a double waterfall that falls nearly 50 feet off a cliff wall. You do have a short hike to reach the falls but the trail is easy and scenic, making it one of the best family-friendly waterfall hikes in Utah.
Scout Falls

Scout Falls are beautiful but the trek to reach them is not for the faint of heart. To reach these falls, you’ll take the Timpooneke Trail, which is the same trail that takes you to the summit of Mount Timpanogos. You will have a 4-mile out-and-back trail ahead of you (by far the longest of any waterfall on our list), but be aware, the trail is steep and you will climb more than 1,000 feet in elevation.

Stewart Falls is a well-known waterfall in Utah Valley and it is also quite popular. This is another waterfall that to admire its beauty, you will have a hike ahead of you. The trailhead is located at Aspen Grove, along the scenic Alpine Loop. Fortunately, the out-and-back trail isn’t too challenging and there are only a few steep areas to climb. But, the view of Stewart Falls at the end will be worth every step.
Bridal Veil Falls

Bridal Veil Falls is one of the most well-known waterfalls in Utah Valley. This is because you can view the falls right from the highway in Provo Canyon and it is the tallest waterfall in Utah — falling an impressive 607 feet. If you want to get a little closer to these falls, tackle a moderate 1.4-mile trail.
Grotto Falls

Grotto Falls is one waterfall that you’ll want to make sure to visit during the spring months. However, if visiting in the summer, you may see some water fall — it just may be a small trickle. Grotto Falls is located on the Mount Nebo Scenic Byways and the trail to reach the falls is just 0.5 miles. The trail is also easy, making it perfect for the entire family and a great way to end your day.
