This Charming Restaurant In The Heart Of Red Rock Country Is A Utah Dream

Utahns are lucky to enjoy tons of great restaurants. We have some stunningly beautiful restaurants and some hole-in-the-wall restaurants that serve up great comfort food. When you're down south in Utah's red rock country, you have plenty of choices, too. Here's one charming little place in Kanab that you don't want to miss.

Kanab is right in the heart of Utah's red rock country - right on the Utah/Arizona border, next door to Zion National Park and Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument, and just down the road from Bryce Canyon National Park. It's some of Utah's most incredible natural beauty.

You'll find Rocking V Cafe at 97 W. Center Street in Kanab. It's slogan on Facebook is, "A Gastronomic Jackpot in The Middle of Everywhere!" We couldn't agree more.

The dining room is warm and cozy, with brightly-painted walls and a Southwestern theme.

The walls are graced with artwork created by local artists, and it's for sale if you're interested in supporting local talent.

Rocking V Cafe is so committed to fresh food that it grows its very own basil.

If you're in the mood for something light, try one of the salads.

The entrees here are all fresh and delicious.

The filet mignon is char-grilled to perfection.

The Rocking V Shrimp is tossed with pine nuts, fresh veggies and a garlic, parmesan cream sauce.

You have to save some room for dessert -the chocoholic mousse is legendary.

Visit Rocking V Cafe Thursday through Monday from 11:30 am to 8:30 pm. The restaurant is closed on Tuesday and Wednesday.
