This One Wyoming Town Might Just Be The Snowmobile Capital Of The World

Wyoming is home to some of the best winter activities in the world, and it's no surprise that our state swells with adventurers looking for snowy thrills and icy climbs as soon as the weather turns chilly. For those who love snowmobiling in Wyoming, one of the best destinations is tucked into the foothills of the Snowy Range Mountains - the tiny town of Centennial.

Every winter, nearly 300 inches of snow falls in the aptly named Snowy Range Mountains.

The remoteness of the mountains, as well as the sheer amount of fresh snow, makes the Snowy Range one of the world's top snowmobiling destinations.

A tiny town called Centennial is the gateway to the Snowy Range, and if you like getting out on your sled, this is sure to become your own slice of heaven.

There are two lodges directly on the Snowy Range trails - Mountain Meadow Cabins, and the Snowy Mountain Lodge.

While Mountain Meadow Cabins are remote and provide direct access to the trail, the Snowy Range Lodge is a bit bigger, and has more modern amenities.

You can't go wrong with either lodge, as your snowmobile will be welcome no matter where you stay!

The Snowy Range trail system is home to 200 miles of groomed trail and an extra 100 miles of mark, ungroomed trail.

Pack layers, as the Snowy Range gets very cold, and you don't want your trip to be cut short! Be sure to keep an eye on your fuel level, too, as these trails are some of the most remote in the state.
