Wyoming is a state full of small towns. We're the least populated state, and honestly, that makes no sense to me at all. All it takes is a drive through our scenic mountains and our charming small towns to fall in love with the Cowboy State. If you're looking for some quiet and relaxing fun, visit one of the smallest towns around. Every town on the list below is home to fewer than 500 year round residents, but each little slice of heaven is so worth visiting.

1. Chugwater

Chugwater is a charming little town with a macabre story behind it. The town was named after the sound a herd of bison made after falling off of a cliff into the water below. Today, Chugwater is best known for being home to the oldest soda fountain in the state and their famous Chugwater Chili.

2. Atlantic City

Most people write Atlantic City off as a ghost town before they visit. One you're here, though, you'll find a lot of life around! Visit the Merc or the Miner's Grubsteak for an amazing meal and some great company.

3. Kaycee

Kaycee is a tiny and sleepy western town that rose to fame in the Outlaw days. You'll find the most famous outlaw hideout in the world, the Hole in the Wall, in these mountains.
