10 Amazing Places You Can Go On One Tank Of Gas In West Virginia

You don't have to travel far to see plenty of amazing sights in West Virginia. 2. Ghost Town of Thurmond

This former coal town has a population of just 5 people now, but you can still visit.

3. New River Gorge Bridge

West Virginia's iconic bridge is stunning to view in person. While you're in the area, check out the town of Fayetteville, filled with great shops and restaurants.

4. Babcock State Park

This beautiful state park is home to a working grist mill, as well as great hiking trails and overnight cabins.

It's just an easy hike to get up close to these magnificent waterfalls.

This former logging town has company houses where you can stay, and a railroad with great train rides.

9. Helvetia

This little Swiss village in the mountains welcomes visitors and has a popular restaurant.

10. Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum

You can tour this former mental institution, which is said to be haunted. Take a historical tour, or book an overnight ghost hunt.
