Take This Fall Foliage Train Ride Through West Virginia For A One-Of-A-Kind Experience

West Virginia has a number of great railroads to see the fall leaves, but this trip that leaves from Cass, WV is something extra special.

This 4.5 hour round trip will show you some of the most beautiful foliage in West Virginia.

You'll start your journey at the Cass Depot.

The historic town of Cass was an old logging town with a paper mill. The area is now a state park.

From there you'll board a train pulled by a historic steam engine.

This steam engine is almost 100 years old!

The train cars are open air, so you'll feel like part of the great outdoors!

You'll get up close and personal with all the beautiful changing leaves.

The train travels 11 miles up the mountain to the remote location of Bald Knob.

The train stops at an overlook where you can see into the valley below.

What a beautiful place to take in the fall colors!

If you want to extend your stay after the train ride, you can stay in one of the old company houses in Cass.

For information about booking one of these houses, call (304) 456-4300.
