But our love for our Bavarian village, Leavenworth, knows no bounds, and we will continue to recommend it to every Washingtonian. Leavenworth is our most enchanting town, and you'll never forget your visit — especially this time of year.

Leavenworth is absolutely beautiful in any season.

This is one of the few places in our state where there's really no "best" time to visit — there's always a fun festival or event happening.

But during the winter, our already magical village becomes positively enchanting.

No expense is spared in draping the downtown area with decor and twinkling lights.

Strolling through Leavenworth's streets during the holiday season feels totally surreal.

The roads to reach it can be treacherous during the winter, but they're worth braving.

Weekends between Thanksgiving and Christmas are reserved for Leavenworth's annual tree lighting ceremony, complete with visits from Santa.

But if you'd rather skip the worst of the crowds, you can go during the week, when the lights are still on and the shops are all open.
