USA Today has listed the town of Williamsburg as a top historic destination in America, according to its Readers' Choice 2020 List.
Each of the 10 cities on the list has a population of fewer than 35,000 residents yet plenty of ways to engage in America's unique history. It's no surprise that Williamsburg was a top pick.
Williamsburg wasn't always considered to be a small town. In fact, it served as the capital of Virginia from 1699 until 1780 when our state was the biggest in the nation.
